At the start of the year, not many people had heard of Zoom.
Now, it's the way to get together in these troubled modern times.
Just wondered what it would have been like if the stars of 100 years ago
had the technology (with the audio muted of course). :D
BRILLIANT concept and execution Ron!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie.
ReplyDeleteCrumbs, it's over a century now when these A-Listers were strutting their stuff.
The silents and early talkies were a main staple of British kids TV in the '60s and '70s. I guess it was the same in the States. Laurel & Hardy even got a hit record off the back of it here! Great stuff.
My mother adored Laurel & Hardy and I grew up watching them. Can't remember seeing too many silent films as a kid. Also don't know about a hit record from "Fat & Skinny" as my mom called them...I'm going to GOOGLE to see if I can hear it!
DeleteExcellent idea and very now despite being "very then" ! Not tried zooming but I hear it's all the rage. Hazel is more of a Microsoft Teams person these days. Can't beat those old silent films with piano accompiament. I have all the Hal Roach L&H shorts and some longs. Classics!
ReplyDeleteCheers Michael.
ReplyDeleteRe: Stan & Ollie Classics - Below Zero is my fave I think of the shorts with Way Out West the fave feature especially the songs and dances. I enjoyed the recent biopic with Steve Coogan & John C Reilly.
