Homage to Sir Peter Blake

Looks like Petey and Pogo's owners commissioned Sir Peter Blake to design an invite to their birthday party!

I had a great time discovering the art of Blake in all it's various forms.  I am particularly drawn to his use of stripes of color.  The background for this piece is an oversize 'Dutch Boy' brand paint chip sample procured from the local hardware store.  The pre-cut dogs were found in a packet of scrapbooking materials.  I picked up several of the paint chip samples years ago and never knew what to do with them.  Voila!

OH MY GOD

Heavy theme, because I don´t now Peter Blake, too. So I jumped more on the Pop Art- theme than on Mister Blake. And this is more Roy Lichtenstein: comic adapting, clear colors, screenprint raster... Just playing around a bit.
