Excellent Ron! I imagine thats what it must have been like treading the boards back in the day! Have a great book by Roy Hudd that tells of such tales of land ladies and awful "digs " they used to stay in whilst travelling around the country.
Thanks Angie, Viv and Michael. Yes, I bet there's a lot of funny stories. I remember seeing Spike Milligan once convulsing with laughter at a story told by Bernard Miles on the subject of theatrical digs.
