I like this. Rest in Peace Phil. I just read an interesting bit that early in their career John Lennon and Paul McCartney considered calling themselves The Foreverly Brothers.
Thanks both. Yes, I was saddened by the death of Phil Everly - so much a part of my youth. One of the first 78's I listened to at the boys club hut in Basildon , when I was 12 or 13 was with Claudette.
And such a fabulous blend, doesn't get any better than that...have you heard the cover/tribute album done by Norah Jones and Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day (called "Foreverly," I think)? Also very good.

ReplyDeleteGreat tribute. R.I.P. Phil. My fave track of Phil & Don's is 'The Price of Love'.
