out of the box
Background from a pattern by Brittany Keats Cerullo. Woman, baby, and hands from a French anatomy text by the19th century surgeon J. B. M. Bourgery. (Lithograph by N. H. Jacob.) Plus music box from an old advertisement.
OMG...the music box is perfect! I was reminded of the motto by which Katharine Hepburn and her family lived. Inscribed into the mantle in the family home were the words "LISTEN TO THE SONG OF LIFE". I even made a collage about these words and it was published in a Somerset Studio magazine years ago. I should dig it out and post to The Kollage Kit someday!
You have created a M A S T E R P I E C E! Your strong central image and the background pattern conjuring up rich life giving blood supplies.
ReplyDeleteGosh, thank-you Angie...I'm not sure the music box part of it works....

DeleteIn fact LISTEN TO THE SONG OF LIFE would be a perfect alternate title for your work of art.
