government redaction

Does this collage strike you as... well... weird? Does it seem different from my usual style (whatever that is)? I hope so.

I have Jo to thank for this one: the combination of a background grid pattern, and paranoia about what the government is up to (endemic in the U.S. right now, for sure), seemed to work for me in my "they're watching us" collage. And Jo pointed that out. So I did it again: background grid, weird blues, paranoia about the government.

And thanks to Ron, too, for suggesting a theme that gets me out of my usual neatnik O-C sort of style. As Rilke so memorably put it, "Du mußt dein Leben ändern." ("You must change your life.") Sometimes in order for change to happen, things have to get messy during the transition. =laugh=

  3. I feel like I've entered a parallel universe - is that one of the Katzenjammer Kids?

    1. I don't know the Katzenjammer kids well enough to answer that. I chose this little guy because his blond topknot reminded me of a certain he's-not-the-President we're having to deal with over here...

  4. The pattern looks so 3D! Interesting "Matrix" effect!

  5. I thought I saw a Trumpy resemblance there Fi! I like the 3D optical background it works really well with the little guy caught in the maze almost. Glad the craft theme helped to take you in another direction.
