Hah! I imagine an Elizabethan dog collar made of crabs might make for some tasty gnawing to get rid of said collar! Our friend's dog, who we are minding, recently had a surgery and the dog wore such a collar but it was floppy which was much easier for the dog to deal with. Luckily he does not need it while he is with us. (It would be one more thing for ME to deal with LOL!)
