Collage Diary
Collage diary pages from around the mid 90's. Used an old book to collect found scraps each day on my walks from home to work etc. Was hoping to continue it for a whole year but got bored and the book was so full it would hardly close!
A real tribute to John Evans, deceased collage artist! You turned me on to him. I think these would have been easily mistaken for his (except you did not draw the birds on the pages!) Nicely done.
These are great, Michael! I bet they did a lot for developing your eye for composition and cokor, They work as stand-alone collages. (Nutella is a guilty pleasure of mine.)
I love these! I keep a book of just stickers and labels. It is fun to look back at them.

ReplyDeleteThanks all. Collage diaries are fun to do for a while. John Evans was indeed an influence as was Schwitters and many others.
