delivered into dark
For those of you in other countries, Hallowe'en may have some novelty, but I'm in America: the excitement of late October goes back as long as I can remember. My collage for this season is about the colors and moods of the holiday—always for me an escape into darkness.
I was allowed to go trick-r-treating by myself from a very early age. In the fifties and sixties the country was much darker at night—not so many bright lights everywhere. There were pools of deep black all over the place, sometimes even at the strangers' doors I knocked on.
I love darkness. I even trip on terror.

Lovely Autumnal feel to this one!
ReplyDeleteRich textures & colors conjure up magick in this collage! Good one Fi.
ReplyDeleteGreat Halloween textures and shapes here Fi - some ancient-seeming, and some, like what I think of as the 'sky' (the silvery/grey bit) very 50s B-movie too!
ReplyDeleteNice work Fi...yes, I like this time of year too. Going to watch The Blair Witch Project later.
