Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise (very famous UK comedy duo in the 60s, 70s and maybe 80s too?) seen here in the company of quite a famous UK music quartet... with hindsight, I think the white outlines were not a good idea, as they detract from the image, but hey, you live and learn...
The 'wings' are form "Northwest Coast Indian Art" by Bill Holm, and the background is from "The Moog Strikes Bach", a water-damaged item I found in a record-shop bargain-bin for 99p.
I'm actually old enough to remember this show when I first went out in 1964 or whenever it was! "Hey, Bongo!" Nice collage - brought back some good memories!
ReplyDeleteTerrific collage Steve featuring comedy & music legends. I think the outlines work well within the Moog background.
ReplyDelete- That's a great M&W sketch with the Fabs ...Bongo? Oh, is he there as well?
Outlines do not detract one bit! Always lovely to see the Fab Four in a collage!! Don't know this duo, but will have a look see on YouTube!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone, and for your approval of the outlines, looking at them a week later, I'm glad I put them in too....
ReplyDeleteand yes, the clip of them on YouTube, with the whole Bongo thing, AND the bill where Eric Morecambe ad-libs, "oh you've only got a little dad have you?" which has John Lennon in stiches, absolute genius!
