So on Halloween Chicago received snow showers and a high of 32 degrees F. Brrrrr. Way too soon.
I could not recall this happening more than a couple of times in my 71 years but I Googled the fact and discovered:
According to the National Weather Service, the city of Chicago has only seen snow on 8 Halloweens since record-keeping began in 1870.
Therefore, with the change of seasons upon us, let's make collages that reflect the end of a lovely summer and autumn and begin thinking about the harsh reality of what is to come.
Great theme! Yes, the weather is all over the place this year. At the moment waiting for storm Deidre ( or is it Doris?) to arrive. Batten down the hatches!
ReplyDeleteOMG...I just swiped this from The Guardian:
ReplyDelete"Storm CiarĂ¡n has hit the UK with 'danger to life' amber warnings across some areas, flooding, travel destruction and hundreds of schools closing. In France, over 1 million people are without power as the storm battered the country."
I hope you are all doing well.
We live UP north…no storm up here today….
