The 23rd Annual Parade of Dolls, Main Street, USA circa 1939
You may or may not remember I have a fondness for vintage dolls (handmade variety) and for a time was a member of The Illinois Artisans Program, as a doll maker, which sold my one of a kind cloth folk-art dolls.
Lots of fun! I like the somber background, and the two dolls seated on a wall. And the colors are pleasingly autumnal! Are some, or all, of these dolls your own handiwork, Angie?
Huh, I never watched Dr. Who back in the day. But I did watch Dr. Who, my neighbor's black & white "tuxedo kitty" who used to come over to visit my "tuxedo kitty" Kit Kat!

ReplyDeleteNo, these are all vintage dolls from one of my favorite books to cut up! But here is a Flickr link to some of the dolls I have created:

Nice gang of figures & colours. Reminds me of early Dr Who for some reason.

DeleteNice! I love the doll-couple in the top right corner, just taking it easy and watching the world go by.
