I would have NEVER made this collage if it were not for this theme.
I closed my eyes and reached into a box of precut backgrounds and pulled out the birdcage.
I closed my eyes and reached into another box of precut images and pulled out the bandaged people.
Lastly, I did the same to find the two sweater girls.
Excellent! Love those old medical illustrations.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS! Me too.
DeleteSo surreal! Good composition, too. Your technique for finding these images is definitely aleatory. I love it that you've made a great collage you wouldn't have before!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS (to you)!
DeleteAbsolutely fantastic, Angie. The process as well as the result! Good that Fi has chosen this theme! I love the background and all the bandaged people . Totally in love with it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sabine! Maybe I'll try another!!
DeleteThis is great Angie.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ron.
DeleteAngie, I totally agree with everything everyone has said here, stunning work!
ReplyDeleteDisturbing too, reminds me a film I once saw when I was very little, about a criminal boss who dies and is reincarnated as a parrot, who then gives clues to his family about the location of his hidden ill-gotten gains!
OMG that movie sounds awesome. What is the name??? And thanks for your kind comment.
DeleteJust tried to google it, turns out it's an unscrupulous antiques dealer who dies, and criminals are after him to find the location of an old bed he'd sold... so I didnt remember it very accurately, but then again, it was 43 years ago I last saw it!
DeleteIt's called 'The Night We Got The Bird', from 1961, a British Comedy typical of the time.
