après le déluge, ceci

A scrapbox collage from earlier this year. The title is a joke, but if you don't get it, never mind: it's not that funny.

  1. Okay, I translated it and I see it means after the deluge, but who is Ceci? Never mind, nice visual, rich with intriguing pieces from your scrap box.

  2. ceci = this

Louis XV (or his lover, Madmae de Pompadour) is supposed to have said "Après moi, le déluge."/"After me, the deluge." I just flipped it around to mean "after the deluge [of scraps], this."

  3. Love it, so anciently medieval, and molecular at the same time... and the red skeleton leaf over the horse's head reminds me of stories about Stubbs studying their anatomy.. eee!
