More Floor Sweepings

  1. As always, your waste creates! That kind of rhymes. And this piece brings to mind New York collage artist John Evans, a master at this kind of collage.

  2. Yes, there's a rhyming here. Also a loving embrace. Thanks, Angie, for the tip about John Evans: his framing technique is a lot like Michael's frame. Cheers for the monochromatic space, the crossed-out writing above & the crossed-out arrow below....

  3. Thanks both - yes, floor sweepings can yield all manner of wonders to juggle with! John Evans was a lovely mail art friend and much missed - happy to be mentioned in the same breath as his lovely collages , some of which adorn our walls. The frame was one I cut out of a magazine many years ago and it just surfaced again and seemed ideal for this theme.

  4. Great stuff Michael. Colours leap out.
Sorry, I've taken a while to comment, just getting over the Lurgi :( hopefully I'll get a collage done before the week's out.

  5. Excellent stuff, I really like this... the composition and content are just really satisfying, Tippex (or is it Liquid Paper?) and all!
