david bowie's station to station

  1. Excellent, with this you've managed to combine the idea of stations in Berlin with space stations, and therefore every song he ever did with space in it... of which there are many!

And then you've merged the two concepts into one great collage - (is the yellow map of Berlin? ~I'm imagining it is, anyway)... and themes of travel/movement with... are those pics of rainforests?
Just one more question - where's the jester from, he looks really familiar but I can't place him....?

    1. Sorry, but I hardly have any answers, Steve: I don't know what city that's a map of, and I don't know where the jester is from. (Too many clippings, and too little info...) The all-grey clippings that do look sort of like a forest are from a magazine reproduction of an artwork done with ink and brush on paper. Before I learned more about its origins, I used to think the song "TVC15" on Station to Station was about a spaceship... Thanks for your comment, Steve!

    2. Aha... that's okay Fi, maybe it's best that it all remains a mystery to me.... but now I AM going to Google what TVC15 is all about, I've never thought about it before..

When I finally find my old American Trademarks book, I'm gonig to see if that pesky jester is in there! :)

  2. You've really created a feeling of depth in this collage, Fi. Great song as inspiration.

I also think the little jester looks familiar but cannot place him!
