LISTENING TO STRANGE MUSIC

Ever think about the music that might be coming from Pablo Picasso's music paintings? Well, this theme made me wonder and I bet it would be pretty strange.

Listening to the music is Picasso's "Woman in Blue" 1902.
Conducting the music is Glen Gray (courtesy of sheet music I found at a second-hand shop).
Picasso paintings in this collage:
"Violin" 1913
"Ma Jolie" 1914
"Guitar" 1916
"Three Musicians" 1921
"Still Life with a Cake" 1924

  1. I love this - the concentration of the blue listener, and Glenn Grey's joy above, as he channels the sweet'n'strange sounds of the Cubist Guitar Ensemble through the air to the Woman in Blue's ears, excellent!

  2. Well imagined & executed, going from Picasso to music, and a super take on the theme!
