denizens of scrapland


What I find fascinating about the box of scraps on my work table: while appearing to be the least orderly place in my studio, while not having some label like "orange" or "animals" or the title of a book, it's a place where new connections, new kinds of order, are always being formed. All I have to do is look...

  1. I agree with what you said above, Fi. Many of my collages are created by putting my hands on pre-cut pieces that had no idea they were going to end up together.
